Before You Start
Tips:
Do not over inflate the foil number balloon or any small foil balloons. A slightly softer balloon is much easier to attach using the glue dots.
Inflate all latex balloons to the same size for the best-looking result.
You'll Need:
Balloon pump
Measuring tape or ruler
Step 1 – Inflate the Balloons
Inflate 12 x 12-inch latex balloons to approximately 20–22 cm (8–8.5 inches).
Tip: Use a ruler, measuring tape or another object as a guide to keep all balloons the same size.
Step 2 – Make Balloon Pairs
Tie 2 balloons together to create 6 pairs.

Step 3 – Make Balloon Clusters
Take 2 balloon pairs and place one on top of the other to form a cross.
Twist the tied centres together to create 1 balloon cluster.
Don't worry if the balloons move slightly – as long as they are securely twisted together, they'll be fine.
Repeat until you have 3 balloon clusters.

Step 4 – Build the Base
Lay the ribbon flat on the floor or a table.
Place the first balloon cluster on top of the ribbon.

Step 5 – Add the Second Cluster
Place the second cluster on top of the first, turning it about 45°.
Wrap the ribbon through the gaps between the balloons several times, pulling firmly to secure them together.

Step 6 – Finish the Base
Place the third cluster on top, again rotating it about 45°.
Continue wrapping the ribbon through the balloon gaps several times.
Pull the ribbon tight until the base feels secure, then tie a firm knot.
Your balloon base is now complete.

Step 7 – Inflate the Number Balloon
Inflate the foil number balloon.
If your kit includes a personalised name sticker, apply it now.

Step 8 – Attach the Number
Place the number balloon on top of the base and adjust it until you're happy with the position.
Use multiple glue dots to attach it securely.
For the best support, apply glue dots to both the front and back of the balloon where it touches the base.

Step 9 – Add the Decorations
Attach the included 5-inch balloons and any other decorations using the glue dots.
Arrange them to match the product photo or create your own design.
Extra Tip
For numbers 4 and 7, you may need to place one or two extra balloons underneath the foil number to help support the weight. Extra balloons are included in your kit.
